The Researcher Concordat
The Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers, sometimes referred to as the ‘Researcher Development Concordat’, is an important document for researchers and those who work with them.
It is split into three sections (or “principles”): environment and culture, employment, and professional and career development. In each of these principles, the Concordat makes it clear what is expected of the four key stakeholder groups: funders, institutions, researchers and managers of researchers.
In January 2020, Durham signed up to the Concordat and agreed to the obligations listed in it.
If you experience any issues, and you think these are covered by the Concordat, please get in touch!
